About Aberdeen City Music School (ACMS):

ACMS is one of four Scottish Centres of Excellence for music education, providing exceptionally talented young musicians with opportunities to reach their full potential. ACMS pupils receive two hours of lessons on their principal study instrument each week, along with time for a second study instrument, music theory, music history, aural classes, and ensemble playing opportunities. As a boarding school, ACMS offers state-of-the-art facilities, including a recital venue, practice rooms, and a recording studio. ACMS pupils perform regularly, both internally and externally, and many go on to study music professionally and achieve success in their careers. One of the highlights of the school year is the March Concert at the Aberdeen Music Hall, showcasing the talents of the school's ensembles and soloists to a packed audience. Future concerts are posted on the ACMS website and are free to attend. Come and hear us perform! Our pupils are passionate about sharing their music with others.
