November 2023: Windswept

It’s been a tremendous November so far. We’ve just held our first big ceilidh at St Margaret‘s, organised by Calum Hallifax. Attended by over 100 people, it raised money for the Moroccan earthquake victims.

We also had a sellout crowd for the wonderful singer Karine Polwart earlier in the month.

October too was busy with another successful Braemar Folk Festival featuring our first standing-only concert with Elephant Sessions. Their light show was incredible.

There were also four wedding ceremonies at St Margaret’s during the month.

Now we look forward to our big fundraising concert in Aberdeen tomorrow night (Nov 29), the eve of St Andrew’s Day. “Windswept: A Musical Tour of Scotland” features among others, Fiona Kennedy, Paul Anderson and guests and should be a great evening. Tickets still available.

And of course there’s our annual celebration of Christmas, Festival de Noel, on December 8-10. The fullk programme of events is out soon,.

So lots to look forward to!
